Clyde Michael "Mike" Lawing

Clyde Michael “Mike” Lawing, age 77 of Maiden passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his residence. Born February 6, 1944 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Clyde Amster and Elsie McCaslin Lawing. Mike was a member of First Baptist Church in Maiden. He loved the Lord and his family, and will be missed by all. Left to cherish his memory: Wife of 41 years: Kathy Lawing of the home Son: Brian Lawing and wife, Krystal of Tennessee Brother: Reed Lawing of Hudson Sister: Phyllis Harman of Maiden 3 Grandchildren: Eden, Cameron (Dillon) & Sophie 2 Great-Grandchildren: Addilynne & Elliana Numerous nieces and nephews The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:00 at First Baptist Church in Maiden with Dr. Ray Rummage and Brian Lawing officiating. Burial will follow in Maiden City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 1:45 PM at the church. Memorial may be made to First Baptist Church in Maiden.
