Lola Mae Fowler, 90 years old of Qulin, Missouri, passed away July 2, 2021, at Piggott General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas. Born in Gideon, Missouri, to James and Rachel (Ravelette) Jones on August 26, 1930. On October 24, Lola was united in marriage to James Junior Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Fowler; father, James Alexander Jones; mother, Rachel Jones; brother, James Jones; and two sisters, Getonia Gillette and Lula McDaniel. Lola is survived by her two sons, Alvin Ray Fowler and wife Amanda of Piggott, Arkansas, and Calvin Fowler and wife Bonetta of Qulin, Missouri; very special nephew, Gary Fowler and wife Dawn of Houston, Missouri; four grandsons, Terrill Fowler and wife Stephanie of Piggott, Arkansas, Justin Fowler and wife Amanda of Piggott, Arkansas, Bo Fowler and wife Laurelle of Piggott, Arkansas, and Gregory Fowler and wife Nickol of Qulin, Missouri; six granddaughters, Jennifer Jackson and husband Josh of Piggott, Arkansas, Angela Pence and husband Andrew of Qulin, Missouri, Jessica Chipman and husband Robert of Piggott, Arkansas, Kelly Morgan and husband Josh of Marion, North Carolina, Katy Beebe and husband Daniel of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mary Fowler of Piggott, Arkansas; 19 great-grandchildren: Esther, Heidi, Elliott, Lydia, Avery, Peyton, Elijah, Elliana, Madalyn, Amos, Caleb, Wesley, Landon, Isabella, Lilah, Dawson, Ella, Sawyer, and Callie; and many other relatives and friends. Lola was a Christian at an early age and was a member of the Fagus General Baptist Church. When her health allowed she frequented the Harvest of Faith Tabernacle in Piggott where her grandson, Terrill, is the preacher. She was a faithful woman and loved the Lord. She worked at the Floreshine Company for many years. She was a caregiver and cared for her husband during illness for many years. She was an avid gardener. Her flower beds were her pride and joy. She delighted in their beauty and enjoyed tending them. She grew a large garden and canned large amounts of produce every year. She embroidered and made many beautiful quilts that she gave away to family and friends. She was a wonderful loving mother and friend. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Terrill Fowler, Justin Fowler, Bo Fowler, Andrew Pence, Greg Fowler, and Robert Chipman. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Thursday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
