Robert Thomas Walsh, age 19, of Chantilly, VA passed away in his family’s home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Robert was known for his compassion for others, a dry wit, gluten-free cake baking, video editing, other computer skills, and 3-D printing. Overcoming obstacles from autism, he achieved his objective of joining the student body of Chantilly High School. As a member of the class of 2020, Robert was an active participant in the “Our Minds Matter” and “Best Buddies” organizations (the former which helps those with mental issues, and the latter which helps reduce the isolation of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities). Robert will be forever missed by parents Thomas “TJ” Walsh, Jr., and Cynthia Lang Walsh; identical twin brother Eric Walsh; grandparents Linda Lang, Thomas Walsh, Sr., and Roberta Walsh. He is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Tuesday, July 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
