Kenneth Marion Caldwell, 91, of Claremont passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his residence. He was born April 7, 1930 in Catawba County to the late Marion and Mary Caldwell. Kenneth was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Hickory and attended Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont. He was a United States Army veteran and a Mason. Kenneth enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Max Caldwell; sisters, Inez C. Long, Vera C. Costner, Evelyn C. Morrow and Martha C. Sites. Those left to cherish his memory are; His wife of 69 years: Willa Dean Smith Caldwell of the home Son: Timothy Marion Caldwell of Hickory Daughter: Regina Sipe and husband Randy of Claremont Grandchildren: Amber Black (Davey), Lindy Little, Hannah Pearson (James), Cody Sipe (Tiffany), Landon Sipe (Lakin) Great-Grandchildren: Isla Black, Weston Black, Camden Black, Tucker Little, Lainey Dellinger, Breane Pearson, Blaine Pearson, Ryleigh Sipe, Kinsleigh Sipe, Wyatt Sipe and Wyles Sipe Numerous Nieces and Nephews A service to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont. Rev. Philip Setzer and Rev. Tommy Young will officiate. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 544 will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
