Duane Henry Heinbigner

Duane H. Heinbigner, age 89, passed away Tuesday morning, June 29, 2021, at Edenbrook of Oshkosh. He was born to the late Henry and Louise (Schock) Heinbigner on May 19, 1932. After the unfortunate passing of his mother Louise, his father married Gertrude, who was like a second mother to him. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, Duane went on to join the United States Army, becoming a medic in the Korean War. He married Jacqueline Schaefer on February 23, 1952, at Zion Lutheran Church. They were together until her passing in 2017. Duane spent his career as a Salesman for Radford Company. After retirement, he worked at a local animal shelter and assisted on a handicapped children's school bus. When he was younger, Duane enjoyed playing baseball. As he got older, Duane enjoyed woodworking and doing projects around the house with Jackie. Duane is survived by his daughters: Sharon (Richard) Liskow, Jeanne Zabel, Kelly (Jeff) Ziegler, brother: Jimmy (Sandy) Heinbigner, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by his second mother, Gertrude Heinbigner, as well as a sister, Virginia (Pat) Conan. A private graveside service will be held.
