Ronald E. Shawley
Ronald E. Shawley, 68, of Bellefonte passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center. Ronald was born in Bellefonte, on November 16, 1952 a son of the late Marlin E. and Edith Lucas Shawley. On May 19, 1989, he married the former Vickie L. W. Wasson (Shawley) who survives at home. Along with his wife he is survived by his children, Jennifer L. Shawley of Bellefonte, Christopher D. (Dawn) Shawley of Milton, Eric T. Wasson of Bellefonte, Elizabeth L. Rosenberry of Bellefonte, Jonathon M. Shawley also of Bellefonte; his 3 grandchildren, Luke Shawley, Owen Shawley and Miles Rosenberry. Ron was employed at Millipore Sigma (Supelco) in Data Marketing. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Ron enjoyed camping, traveling, game nights and especially spending time with his family. Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 6 P. M. - 8 P. M. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg and on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 9 A. M. - 10 A.. M. at Faith United Methodist Church. A funeral services will follow at 10 A.M. with Pastor Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs. Twp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte, PA. 16823 or PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801 in memory of Ronald Shawley. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Ron was a high school classmate at Bald Eagle Area. He was well-liked and noted for his quick smile and such a gentleman! Gone never to be forgotten!
