Jean A. (Suddard) Shpur, 75, of Peru, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021 at CVPH in Plattsburgh. Her loving family and friends were by her side during her final days in the hospital. She was born on April 20, 1946 in Ticonderoga, NY, the daughter of Harold and Katherine (Huntington) Suddard. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 55 years, Jerry Shpur, daughters Kristi Shpur and Kerri (Michael) D’Angelo, and grandchildren Kloe Hatch and Luca, Marco and Mia D’Angelo. Jean worked at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh for over 30 years as a Security Analyst in the Information Services and Support department. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was an incredibly loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was also an avid animal lover. She adored her many farm animals and pets, especially her dogs and cats. Her pets Jake, Sophie and Emi were always by her side and provided great comfort in her final years. She was a truly kind and wonderful person. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be dearly missed. At Jean’s request there will be no public calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Elmore SPCA in Peru.
