Angelo J. Arcadipane Obituary

Angelo Joseph Arcadipane, "Junior", formerly of 22 East Second Street, Lakewood, NY passed away June 29, 2021, at the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Antonette Joy Arcadipane for just under 65 years; they were married October 22, 1955 and she passed away May 13, 2020. Angelo was born March 5, 1929 in Jamestown, the youngest child of the late Joseph and Lucia Ortolano Arcadipane. He served in the United States Air Force from 1947-1949 and 1952-1955. He was the self-employed owner of a window washing business for many years, as well as a gifted carpenter, having built many area homes. Angelo was formerly a member of St. James Catholic Church and more recently, Sacred Heart Parish in Lakewood. He will be remembered for his artistic abilities that included carpentry, woodworking and sketching, along with his musical talent, especially playing the trumpet. In earlier years, Angelo enjoyed refurbishing automobiles and antique cars, having belonged to the Chautauqua County Antique Automobile Club. He also enjoyed fishing and skeet shooting, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Surviving are five children: Renee (David) Hinsdale of Clymer, Yvonne (David) See of Ocala, FL, Janine (Robert) Hartzell of Russell, PA, Joseph (Nicole) Arcadipane of Lakewood, and Lisa (Troy) Sanford of Ocala, FL; nine grandchildren: Afton Bauer (Nick), Adam, Cole, and Evan Arcadipane, Ryan, Zachary and Matthew See, and Andrew and Tyler Sanford; and three great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Antonette, he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Arcadipane and three sisters, Grace Calabrese, Mamie Barber, Francesca Sabino; and a grandson, Daniel Colvin. A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home, led by the Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. The family suggests memorials may be made to Paws Along the River Humane Society, 212 Elm St., Warren, PA 16365; the area Disabled American Veterans, 3334 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown, NY 14701; or Chautauqua County Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
