Betty Lou Bridges, age 95, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away June 29, 2021.  The daughter of Florence and Berry Snell, Betty was born Oct 8, 1925 in La Feria, Texas where she grew up prior to moving in 1943 to her present home in Corpus Christi, Texas.
 
Betty was a charter member of Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church and had many friends from the Greatest Generation.  She enjoyed chasing after her daughter and sons in their various grade school and high school events.  She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends, and the occasional trip to American casinos.  She was a lifelong lover of Siamese cats, and even the occasional dog. 
 
Betty met Norris after World War II, and they married in 1949.  They were together for over 64 years and they shared a lifetime's worth of memories and experiences.
 
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Bridges; and is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Bert) Bethel; sons, Doug (Jeanne) Bridges and Dale (Linda) Bridges; granddaughters, Brandi (Brad) Ordner, Amanda Bridges, and Allison Bridges; grandsons, Brandon (Jennifer) Bridges, Brian (Julianne) Bridges, Connor Bridges, and David Skrobarczyk; and five great grandchildren.
 
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00am at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 12:30pm.  Betty will be buried at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
