<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Eber Lee Sheffield, age 75 of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at home. He was born on August 3, 1945 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Orin and Katie (Diephouse) Sheffield. Eber married Beth Elise Reinertson on November 2, 1974 in Muskegon, MI.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Eber graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1964 and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army from 1967 to 1973. He was a life-long resident of Grand Haven, working as a meat cutter since the age of 18 at various places including the old Casemier&#39;s&nbsp;Grocery in Grand Haven and Sheffield&rsquo;s Meats. Eber also previously worked as a bus driver for G.H.A.P.S., later retiring from Acemco.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Eber was a master wood-worker and collector of coins. He liked watching trains going down the tracks, bird-watching with his grandson, and reading books about history. Eber had an appreciation for wildlife, always feeding the squirrels and even training them to eat right from his hand. He was proud to be a US Veteran and was once awarded Soldier of the Month.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Eber is remembered and missed by his wife of 46 years, Beth Sheffield; his two daughters, Kelsey (James) English and Kathryn (Robert) Franke, all of Grand Haven; his son, Kyle Sheffield of Berrien Springs, MI; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Connie (Tom) Larson; brother-in-law, Ken Kadrovich; and many nieces and nephews.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>He was preceded in death by his sister, Ella (Claude) Karel; and brothers, Oren (Sharon) Sheffield and Donald (Arlene) Sheffield.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>The Memorial Service for Eber will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Freed officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Memorial Contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice or Michigan Disabled Veterans.&nbsp;</strong></span></p>

Eber Lee Sheffield, age 75 of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at home. He was born on August 3, 1945 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Orin and Katie (Diephouse) Sheffield. Eber married Beth Elise Reinertson on November 2, 1974 in Muskegon, MI.
