Charlotte A Cunningham (nee Hensley), 78, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born August 2, 1942 in Portsmouth, KY and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 52 years moving from Berlin Heights where she grew up. Charlotte had worked for various companies including the Vermilion Pickle Factory, IPC, Norwalk, and Fanny Farmer. She enjoyed needlepoint, going to garage sales and thrift shops, antiques, and caring for her house plants. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Rick) Lynden of Vermilion and Jenny Bailes of Norwalk; sons, Brian Lee Cunningham of Vermilion and Charles Cunningham of Lorain; grandchildren, Amanda Pernal, John Pernal, Demitrius Cunningham, David Camera, Cierrah Roberts, Joshua Nelson, and Riley Thomas; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert (Jennifer) Hensley of Berlin Hts., John Hensley of Sandusky, Richard Hensley of Huron, Albert Hensley of New London, and Samuel (Elaine) Hensley of Amherst; and her sister, Mildred Hensley of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil L. Cunningham, parents, Estle and Ada (nee Evans) Hensley; brothers, Danny Joe, twin brother, Charles, and Estle David "Buck" Hensley; step-son, Randy Cunningham and step-daughter, Debbie Bailes. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Graveside services will be held the following Saturday, July10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
