Meryl L. King Obituary

Meryl L. King, 90, formerly of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN on June 29. 2021. She was born to the late Kelly and Alma (Besing) Ingle on January 10, 1931, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Meryl was a member of the Buckskin St. John’s United Church of Christ. She worked as a bartender and cook at Eenie’s Tavern for many years. She enjoyed sewing and repairing clothes for her family and seeing her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ted Ingle; and son-in-law, Jerry Wagner.

She is survived by her 2 children, Sherry Wagner of Princeton, IN and David (Susan) King of Bellmont, IL; sister, Judy Mabry of Henderson, KY; brother, Kenneth (Evelyn) Ingle of Elberfeld, IN; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Services will be on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Reverend Paul Cavender officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Nobles Chapel Cemetery in Elberfeld.
