<p> Jose “Joe” G. Pereira, 84, of Taunton, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of sixty-two years to Rosalina (DaMaso) Pereira. He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores the son of the late Joseph and Deodata (Camaro) Pereira. He worked in the maintenance department at Harvard University for many years. He was a communicant of Saint Anthony Church in Taunton. Joe enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. Survivors besides his wife are three daughters: Philomena Amorim and her husband Horace of Taunton; Maria Femiak and her husband Eric of Taunton; Debra Scott and her husband Tom of Taunton; a son: Fernando Pereira of East Providence; nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Ryan, Mikey, Joey, Corey, Jocelyn, Andrew, Chelsea and Maeghan; eleven great grandchildren; a brother: Salvadore Pereira of Providence; along with many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gloria Silva, Mary Rego, and Albano Pereira. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday July 1, 2021 from 4-7pm in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in Friday, July 2, 2021 at 9am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited directly to the church on Friday. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery Taunton.</p>June 29, 202106/29/2021
