Micheal Edd Matthews of Logan, Oklahoma -

    Mike Matthews, 69, passed peacefully on June 29^th, 2021, at INTEGRIS Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born January 3^rd, 1952, in Shattuck, Oklahoma.

    Mike was the first baby to be born to Robert Edd Matthews and Neoma Ruth Coffman in Shattuck Hospital in 1952. He was the eldest of four brothers. Mike graduated from Shattuck High School in 1970. He furthered his education in Agriculture at Panhandle State University, where he met his soulmate. Mike soon married Elaine Durfey on November 23^rd, 1973.

    Following his education, he began working for ODOT, Verlin Barns, Caprock, Circle Right Oil Field Service, Earl Bedell and Sons, McGuire Feedyard, Hoss Manske, Follett Feeders, Heglin Auction, Tanner Ranch, Woodward Sale Barn, Texoma Sale Barn, Milton Messner, and many odd jobs in between. Mike worked for Beaver County for 37 years and district one foreman for the last 14 years, he was “supposed” to retire 10 years ago.

     Mike was proceeded in death by his mother, Neoma Ruth Coffman, Grandparents Slim and Anna Mae Matthews and Lloyd and Allie Coffman. He is survived by Wife, Elaine Matthews and Bo of Logan, OK. Father, Robert Edd Matthews, of Shattuck, OK. Mike and Elaine’s children Scott and Bretta Matthews of Woodward, OK. Dusty and Neal Sperry of Logan, OK. Clint and Roxanna Matthews of Follett, TX. Grandchildren Cody Sperry and Shelby Avara of Beaver, OK. Monty and Allison Sperry of Follett, TX. Jillian and Gavin Welch and Ian Matthews of Follett, TX. Brothers Tom, Neal, and Kelly Matthews.

     Oh and “just one more little deal…”
