<p>Mr. Herley Ray Walker, age 74 of Millers Creek passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 2, 2021 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Tim McCann, Rev. Ronnie Millsaps, and Brother Stan Hostetter officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.</p> <p>Herley was born November 6, 1946 in Wilkes County to Fred Martin and Ocie Faye Sheets Walker. He was a member at Cherry Grove Baptist Church. He loved his church where he served as a deacon for 50 plus years and loved his family. He loved to work and worked for Industries For The Blind.</p> <p>In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah; a sister, Sue Haynes; and a brother, James Walker.</p> <p>Herley is survived by his wife of 53 years, Syble Ball Walker of the home; his mother, Ocie Faye Sheets Walker of Millers Creek; one daughter, Tina Visnic and husband, George of Millers Creek; a son, Russell Ray Walker and wife Lori of Millers Creek; five grandchildren, Emily, Charity, Elizabeth, William and Graylan; a sister, Kay Bowlin of Wilbar; and a brother, Gary Walker of Wilbar.</p> <p>Memorials may be made to Cherry Grove Baptist Church Building Fund 859 Cherry Grove Road, Moravian Falls, NC 28654 or Wilkes ADAP PO Box 968 North Wilkesboro, NC 28659</p> <p>Online condolences may be made at www.reinssturdivant.com.</p>November 6, 1946 - June 29, 202111/06/194606/29/2021
