Charles K. "Kenny" Clutter Obituary

Charles K. “Kenny” Clutter, 79, of Clarksburg, WV (Sardis), passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg on February 26, 1942 a son of the late Ernie and Wilma (Hawkinberry) Clutter. Mr. Clutter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Guillermina Clutter. In addition to his wife Charles is survived by five sons: Ken Clutter (Beverly) of Fairmont, Michael Clutter of Morgantown, Mark Clutter of St. Albans, Richard Clutter (fiancé Kimberly Presutti) of Capon Bridge, and Robbie Clutter (girlfriend Natalie Quillin) of Clarksburg; twelve grandchildren: Stephen Clutter of Fairmont, Alexxys Clutter of Morgantown, Ashton Clutter of St. Albans, Asher Bayes of KY, Zach Garrison of Four States, Ricky Clutter of Martinsburg, Patricia Clutter of Capon Bridge, Elizabeth Clutter of Capon Bridge, Josh Clutter of Clarksburg, Riley Clutter of Clarksburg, Bella Clutter of Clarksburg, and Alyssa Clutter of Clarksburg; two great-great grandchildren: Waylon and Cash Christoff, and three more on the way. Also surviving are three brothers: Thomas W. Clutter (Marie) of Reynoldsville, Robert L. Clutter (Vickie) of Sardis, and William F. Clutter of Sardis; two sisters-in-law: Kendy Clutter and Lynne Clutter both of Sardis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Charles was also preceded in death by three siblings: George A. Clutter, Evelyn Vincent, and John Ernie Clutter; and one daughter-in-law, Melissa Clutter. Kenny was a graduate of Victory High School Class of 1960 and then served his country honorably in the United States Navy on the USS Biddle during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He went on to work for the Harrison County Board of Education as a bus driver and retired with over 30 years of service as the transportation terminal supervisor. Kenny’s greatest passion was farming, and it was the biggest part of his life. He especially enjoyed his cows, family gatherings, and cooking for his family. Kenny was also very proud of his service in the Navy. Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Harley Jeffries presiding. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, where full military honors will be accorded.
