Nicholas "Nick" Kendro

<p>Nicholas &ldquo;Nick&rdquo; Kendro, 84, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Prospect Park, PA and North East, MD, passed away on June 29, 2021.</p> <p>Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1936, he was the son of the late Albert and Freda (nee Doukas) Kendro. Nick graduated from Northeast High School, Philadelphia, PA. He was a huge Phillies, Eagles, and Sixers fan. Nick enjoyed summers at Buttonwood Beach on the Chesapeake Bay with his family where they would go fishing and crabbing on the boat or relax on the beach together.&nbsp;In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching his sons&#39; baseball and basketball teams.&nbsp;Nick especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and attended many of their sporting events.</p> <p>Nick was the beloved husband of 62 years of Geraldine R. (nee Friel) Kendro; loving father of Glenn Kendro (Barbara), Darryl Kendro, Melissa Gallagher (Lee), and Craig Kendro; caring grandfather of Ryan Kendro, Cassidy Gallagher, Jordan Gallagher, Nicholas Kendro, Samantha Kendro, and Nathan Kendro; dear brother of Evelyn Dougherty (John), Linda Bailey (Edward), Albert Kendro, Jr. (Sandra), and the late Judy Kendro; also survived by many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10-11 AM Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment private.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106, <a href="http://www.alz.org">www.alz.org</a>, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
