Debbie Irene Taylor

Debbie Thompson Taylor, age 66, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 29, 2021 while at her home with her family.

Debbie was born on October 8, 1954 in Sumter, SC. She was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Irene G. Thompson, and she lived in various locations during her early years as her father was enlisted in the Air Force. She finally settled in Hendersonville around 1970 where she completed high school, graduated from Blue Ridge Community College and married her husband John in 1975. In 1982 she left her current job at the time to help John start and build his accounting practice. Debbie always put the needs of others above her own and always had good things to say about every situation. She loved sweet tea with lots of lemon, birdwatching, cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes and spending time with her friends and family most of all. She was an incredible wife and amazing mother to her two children, making sure everyone always knew they were loved and that their needs were met.

She is survived by her husband John of 46 years, daughter Jeanne and son-in-law Shane of Durham, NC, and her son Jason of Hendersonville. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tommy.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations please be made to the American Heart Association instead.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, no plans have been made for a service.

Sanders Funeral Home.
October 8, 1954 - June 29, 202110/08/195406/29/2021

Debbie was one of the most delightful people we have ever known. She always had a great story and a laugh to share.
She will be sorely missed. And we loved her pickled cucumbers! Our hearts go out to John, Jeanne, and Jason.

In loving memory of Debbie Taylor. I have known her since she was 11 years old. She was bright, funny, caring and loving to her family, and friends.

This is more of a shock than Carol's passing in March and little Brewster's in April. I am deeply saddened, John and Jeanne and Jason, but so, so grateful for the happy times we shared!
