<p>It is with deep sadness that the family of the late WALTER CHESLEY BONNELL of Point Au Gaul announces his passing. Walter passed away at his home in Point Au Gaul on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at the age of 81.</p><p><br></p><p>Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Greta of 62 years; son, Walter Bonnell Jr. (Michelle Gosse) of Torbay; daughters, Evelyn Pittman (Martin) of Point Au Gaul, and Lorena Lundrigan (Brian Collins) of Marystown; daughter-in-law, Elaine Bonnell of Mount Pearl; 8 grandchildren, Heather Bonnell, Michael Bonnell, Jamie Pittman (Nicole Haley), Jason Pittman, Melanie Gaulton (Scott), Christopher Lundrigan (Michelle), Joey Bonnell, and Grant Bonnell; 5 great-grandchildren, Ethan Pittman, Everett Pittman, Olivia Gaulton, Liam Gaulton, and Patrick Lundrigan; sister, Margaret Piercey of Fortune; sisters-in-law, Gladys Bonnell of Taylors Bay, and Marion Bonnell of Point Au Gaul; brother-in-law, Hubert Hillier of Point Au Gaul; plus a large number of family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Walter was predeceased by his parents, Leo &amp; Hannah Bonnell; son Reginald Bonnell; brothers, Leo and Garfield Bonnell; and sisters, Harriett Hillier, Dorothy Hepditch and Louisa Hillier.</p><p><br></p><p>The Bonnell Family will be accepting visitors at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Lamaline on Wednesday, June 30th beginning at 1:00 pm and Thursday, July 1st, beginning at 10:00 am.</p><p>Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions this will be a walk through visitation with a maximum of 20 people in the church at one time. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the church and masks are required. </p><p><br></p><p> Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions in place, Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2021 at 2:00 pm from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Lamaline.</p><p>Cremation to follow.</p><p><br></p><p>Graveside service will take place at St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Lamaline on Saturday, July 31st, 2021 at 10:30am</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in Walter’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery Fund, Lamaline or flowers gratefully accepted.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Homes – Grand Bank.</p><p>“Our Family Serving Your Family”</p><p>www.wisemansfh.ca</p>
