On Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, Jimmy Green, life partner, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away at age 64. On May 7th, 1957, Jimmy was born in Ponca City, OK, to Jesse and Virginia (Wells) Green. He had a passion for hard work and staying busy. Jimmy began his career as a machinist early in adulthood by working in the oil field and then moving on to airplanes. He recently retired from the Kickapoo Casino. The Casino fulfilled his desire to be around people and his passion for hard work. On March 3rd, 1995, Jimmy met the love of his life, Stacey Lee Pearson. They made a life together in Wellston, OK, complete with family and friends. Jimmy’s pride and joy were his two children and four precious grandchildren. He loved his family fiercely and they will miss him deeply. Jimmy enjoyed being outside and gardening. His lawn and garden were the envy of all who saw them. He and Stacey loved spending time with their friends; always down for a fun time. He loved unconditionally, and his compassionate spirit had a way of making someone feel happy and at peace. He never met a stranger; he always left someone better than how he found them. He was the life of the party; always the one laughing the loudest or doing something silly to make others laugh. His smile was contagious and there was no way to be around him without having a smile on your own face. He had a love for animals; especially, his favorite girl, Mugsy. Jimmy Green is preceded in death by his father, Jesse; his mother, Virginia; and his brother, David Green. He is survived by his partner, Stacey of the home, his son Jesse Green and his wife Kasey and their children, Lincoln and Emerson of Houston, TX; his daughter Sarah Carpenter and her husband Tyler and their children, Harrison and Tillie of Yukon, OK; his brother Bill Green and his wife Darla of Cabot, AR; and sister-in-law Diana of Stillwater, OK; several cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at the Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1820 S. Douglas Blvd. Midwest City, OK 73130.
