Kennedy Alan Merritt-Millet Obituary

Kennedy Allen Merritt-Millet, 18, was taken from us too soon on in the early morning hours of June 23, 2021. Kennedy was parented by a collective of women who loved him. He often referred to them as the "Mommies." Carla Maria Merritt, Bronwen Louis Millet and Angela Michele Sandford. All three “mommies” poured themselves into the beautiful vessel that was Kennedy. He will be leaving behind his younger sister Lea-Bella Millet, his baby brother Elliott Cole Millet, and his nana, Edna Millet. Kennedy had many facets. At times, and to some, he was quiet and naïve. When he opened up, he was witty, warm, charming and supportive of his loved ones. He loved basketball, music, his phone, Star Wars, 2K, Kevin Durant, Tom Brady (G.O.A.Ts), being physically active, fast cars, Fast & Furious movies and wearing Hoodies. “Hanging out with his friends” was his constant request. Their importance to him, and his to them, was exemplified by the large impromptu memorial held in his honor on June 23, 2021. His mothers, his extended family and his vast trove of loving friends are already missing the enthusiasm and light that was Kennedy Alan Merritt-Millet. It is Carla’s belief that Kennedy's Grand Mother, Charity McCrae Merritt, met his spirit in heaven that day. She imagines her mother greeting him, smelling like warm butter milk biscuits and cherry pie. Then she would take his hand and walk beside him..... Bronwen sees her father, Edmund Millet helping to guide him as he left this earth and moved onto the next realm. With love in our hearts, we will one day see him again, shooting hoops and trying to dunk. Until we meet again…. https://gofund.me/35e9a7fc
