<p>Daniel Curtis Douglas, Jr., passed away peacefully on June 22nd, 2021 surrounded by family, and went to be with his Lord at the age of 75 years.&nbsp; Born in New Orleans on March 7th, 1946, Daniel was predeceased by his parents Daniel &quot;Curt&quot; Douglas, Sr. and Marvell Tucker Douglas, as well as his sister Linda Douglas Nunez (Edwin).&nbsp; He is survived by his dedicated wife of 53 years, Lynda McArdle Douglas.</p> <p>Lovingly remembered by daughters Shannon Douglas Hudson (Christopher) and Shantel Douglas Bagnell (Lloyd), as well as sons Shane Douglas (Brittany) and Shay Douglas (Nanci), he leaves behind six beautiful grandchildren, Christian Hudson, Payton Hudson, Nathan Bagnell, Aubrey Bagnell, Marley Douglas, and Mac Douglas.&nbsp; Brother of Donald Douglas (Lorraine) and Judy Douglas Ricks (the late Rusty).&nbsp; He will be missed by many close family and friends.</p> <p>Danny was a loving husband and father.&nbsp; He retired as an accountant from Shell Oil Company.&nbsp; Most of his spare time was devoted to soccer, where he coached at Lafreniere, Jesuit High School, Covington, and Madisonville, and was affectionately referred to as Coach Pawpaw.</p> <p>Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA, on Monday, June 28, 2021 beginning at 10:00am, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00pm.&nbsp; Fr. John Brown, SJ, will be the celebrant.&nbsp; Interment will be at Eternal Rest Cemetery at&nbsp;Bagnell &amp; Sons Funeral Home at 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA.&nbsp; The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to St. Jude Children&#39;s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.&nbsp;</p>
