Steve was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba but shortly thereafter his family moved to Saskatoon where Steve attended Father Vachon Elementary School, E.D. Feehan High School and later completed his Bachelors Degree in Phys Ed and Education at the University of Saskatchewan.

In 2001 Steve married Michelle and went on to discover his true joy in life, his two beautiful daughters Sydney and Bailey. They were his pride and joy, and he spent all his free time with them. He loved them deeply and took great pride in sharing his love of sports and the outdoors with them. They are truly blessed to have had Steve as their father and his presence will be missed greatly.

Steve is remembered as a devoted Father, Teacher and Coach.

Steve leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Sydney and Bailey; their mother, Michelle; his mother, Mary Peake; his dad, Robert Peake; his sister, Shannon (Jeremiah) Baldwin and their children Spencer, Carson and Josie; his maternal grandmother, Marcelle Neuman; his uncle, Paul Krawec; his aunt, Terry Lambert; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
