Danny Leon Stewart, age 72 of Huntland, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born in Lincoln County on November 19, 1948 to the late John Mitchell and Martha Jewell (Kirby) Stewart. Danny was a veteran of the National Guard. Before his retirement, he worked as a dairy farmer. Danny cherished the time spent with his beloved family. He was hardworking, strong-willed and determined and will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandsons, Peyton and Tyler Stewart. Danny is survived by his wife, Melissa Stewart of Huntland; children, Katie Stewart, Kimberly Stewart, Kasen Tyler Stewart, Daniel Stewart, Scotty Stewart, and Keith Stewart, all of Huntland; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy (Kathy) Stewart of Huntland, Ronnie (Donna) Stewart of Huntland, and Kathy Stewart Lewis (Jerry Beaty) of Belvidere; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10-11am on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Mt Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
