John D. Goff

A Chaplin resident, Mr. John D. Goff, age 92, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born July 5, 1928 in Nelson County to the late Ezra and Eva Call Goff. Johnny was a farmer and a member of Chaplin Christian Church. He loved life, music, and his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Ockerman and his siblings, Christine Crowley, Bobby Goff, Virginia Calvert, Paul Colvin, and Woodrow Goff. He is survived by his wife, Joyce White Goff, his daughters, Rhonda Goff of Chaplin, Karen (Dennis) Trent of Bloomfield, his son, Ricky (Lori Jo) Goff of Harrodsburg, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. John D. Goff will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Bro. Larry Wilson and Bro. Howie Spears will officiate. Interment will be in Highview Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 pm and Thursday after 9:00 am. The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
