Ayden - Brenda T. Wilson, 67, passed away on July 11, 2020. She was born in Greenville to the late James and Charlotte Tripp. She worked for the City of Greenville for 20 plus years as an Animal Control Officer. During this time she also worked as a K-9 Officer. After retiring from the City, she worked for ECU School of Medicine for more than five years. After retiring for good, she enjoyed being at home with her husband and occasional trips to the beach. She also enjoyed crafts, spending time with family and spending time with her animals. Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Tony Wilson; daughter, Melissa Arnold (James); two sons, James Whitehurst (Aimee), and Joey Whitehurst (Kristin); step-sons, Brandon Wilson (Brandy) and Jerry Wilson; sisters, Libby Vincent, Lindsay Tripp, Geneva Morris, Debbie Taylor and Betty Beamon; many loving nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. She loved and adored her grandchildren, Cole Whitehurst, Madison Asby, Tripp Whitehurst, Brooklyn Whitehurst, Caroline Whitehurst, Jackson Whitehurst, Eden Whitehurst, Hannah Wilson, B. B. Wilson, Wyatt Wilson, Anthony Wilson and Nathan Wilson. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, from 5 to 7 PM at Smith Funeral Service & Crematory.
