Mary L. Nolan, age 61, of Lapeer, formerly of Imlay City, died Thursday, December 10, 2015. Mary was born February 25, 1954 in Detroit, to Robert and Margaret (Pearsall) Wells. She graduated in 1972 from Imlay City High School. Mary married Donald J. Nolan, Sr., on June 1, 1974, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City. Mrs. Nolan was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, her Catholic faith was very important to her. She enjoyed celebrating Christmas, cooking, Rocky movies (anything with Sylvester Stallone), and the classic Christmas Carol movie. Above all Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished time with family, she made birthdays and holidays special for everyone she loved. Mrs. Nolan will be missed all who knew her! Mary is survived by her husband: Donald J. Nolan, Sr.; children: Donald J. (Nicole) Nolan, Jr., Mary Elizabeth (Steve Nolan-Riselay, Theresa Anne (Todd) Lajewski, Tina (Daryl) Ide, Stephen J. Nolan, Gregory J. (Chelsey) Nolan, Robert J. Nolan, Daniel X. Nolan and Matthew T. Nolan; grandchildren: Monica Nolan, Grace Nolan, Donald Nolan, III, Elizabeth Riselay, William Riselay, Anthony Lajewski, Lydia Lajewski, Thomas Lajewski, Nicholas Lajewski, Noah Lajewski, Claire Lajewski, Emma Ide, Ava Ide, Ethan Ide, Andrew Ide, Isabella Ide, Ella Nolan and Mya Nolan; siblings: Charles (Charlene) Wells, Joseph (Carol) Wells, John Wells, Guy Wells, Elizabeth (Nestor) Krywyj, Veronica (Andy) Pawlaczyk, Madeline Wells, Robert (Marianne) Wells and Simon (Trish) Wells; many many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Anna Catherine Lajewski; grandson: Luke Thomas Riselay; sister: Anne Henning; her parents: Robert and Margaret Wells; father-in-law: Jack Nolan; nephew: Kevin Wells; niece: Ashley Nolan; and her parents. Visitation will be 4-8PM Saturday, December 12, 2015 and 1-4PM and 6-8PM Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. The Rosary will be prayed 7PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mary's funeral mass will the 11:00AM Monday, December 14, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer. The family will receive friends from 10:15AM - 11:00AM Monday at the church, prior to her funeral mass. Burial will follow in Mt. Loretto Cemetery.
