Dollie Effie Allen, 84, of Columbiaville, formerly of Madison Heights, died Saturday, April 2, 2016. Dollie was born December 31, 1931 in Kimbell, West Virginia to parents Beryl and Mary Elizabeth (Stump) Workman. She was born in Kimbell and spent her entire youth there. Dollie married Daniel Allen on June 26, 1962 in Clawson, Michigan. Dollie was known as a loving nurturer – pets, neighbors, friends and most of all family, were the lucky recipients of her love. Her pineapple upside down cake and her pot roast were the best ! Dollie loved her family – most of all her beloved grandchildren. Dollie is survived by her husband, Daniel Allen; children: Ronald (Peggy) Workman of Princeton, WV, Lydia Namel of Columiaville, Mary (Edward) Tokarz of Warren, Penny (Ronald) Fick of Lapeer and April (Jim) Ciaravino of Rochester Hills; step-son, Donald (Ann) Allen of Milwaukee, WI; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren and her dear friend, Paul Hurt of Columbiaville. Dollie was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Dollie's funeral will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April6, 2016 at Muir Brothers. Burial will take place in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
