<p>Lonnie Wayne Miller, 65, was united with his heavenly Father on Sunday, June 20, 2021. He was a cherished husband, a treasured father, admired grandfather, adored brother, and selfless friend. Lonnie was a pillar in the community and was always there to help those in need. Knowing Lonnie was a true blessing in this life. He was born on March 15, 1956 in Spartanburg, SC and was the son of the late Clyde Miller and Myrtle Hawkins Miller.</p> <p>Lonnie was a true outdoorsman who loved spending his time on the lake with the love of his life Lakla and playing outside on the water with his kids and grandkids. Making memories with his children and grandchildren were always his priority in life. Nothing made him happier than a long day on the lake with his grandchildren. The time he spent fishing and hunting with his brother Allen&nbsp;were some of the most memorable times for Lonnie. He would always come home with the kind of stories that only brothers, who were best friends, could have made. The combined family that Lonnie and Lakla created was of six children. All six of the children are grown and have families of their own but always knew that family was what was most important. They all valued the time they got to spend with Lonnie and will never forget the life lessons that he taught and the love that was given. Ultimately, Lonnie was a man of strong faith and unending love for his family.</p> <p>He is survived by his wife, Lakla Miller; children, Timothy Miller (Jennifer), Joseph Miller (Lesley), Jamie Miller May (James), Lyndsay Miller Morris (Jeremy), Ashley Miller Weekly (Jason); grandchildren; Jonathan Miller, Caleb Miller, Caroline Hardee, Davin Mitchell, Gabriel Mitchell, Lukas May, Hayden May, Elysabeth Mahaffey, Ashlyn Morris, Colton Morris, Kaitlin Morris, Cody Morris, Cadence Weekly and Camdyn Weekly; step-daughter, Carrie Hardy (Lee); brother, Allen Miller and his wife Gail, sister, Alice Worley and honorary grandchildren, Bristol and J. D. Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Geraldine, Judy, Hazel, Mary, Raymond, Robert, and Ronnie.</p> <p>The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Floyd&rsquo;s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4081 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Floyd&rsquo;s Boiling Springs Chapel conducted by The Rev. Clay Collins and The Rev. Andy Case. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 4164 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The Family will be at the reception hall of Fingerville Baptist Church, in Cooley Springs, SC following the services.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.</p> <p>Floyd&rsquo;s Boiling Springs Chapel</p>

Lonnie Wayne Miller, 65, was united with his heavenly Father on Sunday, June 20, 2021. He was a cherished husband, a treasured father, admired grandfather, adored brother, and selfless friend. Lonnie was a pillar in the community and was always there to help those in need. Knowing Lonnie was a true blessing in this life. He was born on March 15, 1956 in Spartanburg, SC and was the son of the late Clyde Miller and Myrtle Hawkins Miller.

Lonnie was a true outdoorsman who loved spending his time on the lake with the love of his life Lakla and playing outside on the water with his kids and grandkids.
