Joyce Whitener, 70, of Murphy passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at an Asheville hospital. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia Elwart Zoltowski and wife of the late Willard Jeff Whitener who died March 23, 2020. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Joseph Whitener. No services are planned at this time. Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy in charge of arrangements.
