Dr. Siegfried Rieble

Dr. Siegfried Rieble Bridgewater, NJ Siegfried (Sigi) Rieble, 56, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, on Thursday, November 12, 2015, after a brief illness. He will be sorely missed by his family, colleagues and friends. Sigi was born in Rottweil, Germany, on November 3, 1959. He received his Master of Science degree in Biology from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany, and his PhD in Biochemistry from Brown University, Providence, RI, in 1991. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science and Technology in Beaverton, OR, Sigi began his successful pharmaceutical career at the Schering-Plough Research Institute and then Aventis-Pasteur. He was employed since May 2003 as a Director in Biologics Process Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He made many important contributions to the company and was liked and respected by his colleagues. Sigi enjoyed working on home improvement projects, cooking and experimenting with different cuisines, brewing his own beer, and as a history buff enjoyed having lengthy discussions on current events. He looked forward to summer travels to Germany to visit his family and delighted in unwinding and relaxing at his vacation home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, NH. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Johanna Rieble, and by a brother, Ansgar Rieble, all of Zimmern, Germany. Sigi is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carrie, and by his loving sons Markus and Brendan Rieble, of Bridgewater, NJ. He is survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Gretchen John and nephew Kyle and nieces Corinna, Kendall and Brittany, all of Wolfeboro, NH. In Germany he is also survived by his sister, Gertrud Riesener, and brothers, Günter and Eugen Rieble of Zimmern; his niece Anna Riesener of Heilbronn, and his nephews Alex Riesener of Loerrach, and Andi Rieble of Villingendorf. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg NJ, 08876. 908-526-7638.
