William Howard Strickland
William Howard Strickland, age 94 of Moran, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, June 24th at Moran Cemetery with Jeff Pleasant officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. William Howard Strickland was born June 6, 1927 in Ibex, Texas to Tommie Lee Strickland and Ilene Terry Strickland. He attended school in Oklahoma and later enlisted in the military. Following his honorable discharge, he was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Ayers Dozer and Holland Dozer until he retired. Mr. Strickland was an outdoorsman and was no stranger to hard work. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, ride horses and take care of his place. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Strickland is survived by his two friends, Kevin and Dara Trainham of Goree. Memorials may be made to VFW Post 7767 and may be left at Morehart Mortuary.
