Debbie Ruth Brosche Obituary

Forever Our Wildflower Deborah “Debbie” Brosche was born on July 3,1956 to Elizabeth Andrews and the late Stanley Corbett. She is preceded in death by her father and sister, Andrea, and leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her mother, her sister Patti (Chuck) Robertshaw of South Carolina and two children, David (Christina) of Acworth, GA and Vanessa (Brad) Malia of Tampa, Florida. Four beloved and precious grandchildren, Jack, Sophia, Lou, and Ara, who affectionately referred to her as “Nana”, will also continue to honor her through their lives. From a very early age, Debbie realized her deep-seeded passion for children and teaching and set her sights on becoming an educator. Even in the face of significant obstacles, Debbie persevered with an unrelenting, hard-working spirit - raising two children and working three jobs to finance her education- in order to realize her dream of becoming a teacher. For 20 years, she worked as an early elementary educator at both Kingston and Euharlee Elementary Schools in the Bartow County School System. During her time, she inspired countless others, including her daughter, to pursue the profession as well. She impacted hundreds of young people throughout her time and her impact extended well beyond reading, writing, and arithmetic. Years after leaving her vibrant, joy-filled classroom, her students would return home to visit her and praise her. Debbie happily passed on “the finer things” and relished a much slower, simpler life. Daisies and wildflowers would be her choice over roses any day. She was a lot like the wildflowers she personified and picked as a young girl - free, unphased by the pursuits of the popular crowd, fancy-free, and independent. A perfect day for Debbie would be a day of talking with friends and enjoying mountain views and sunsets from her rocking chair. Debbie had a huge heart and loved deeply, making everyone regardless of their position and stature feel valued and cared for. Her love was selfless. Even in her final hours, her thoughts and preoccupations were with her family and friends’ needs, not her own. As an active member of Faith United Methodist Church, Debbie was involved in the choir, sewing group, and women’s bible study. While serving there, she built many friendships and deep, unbreakable bonds with special and dear friends like Teri Marley and Christy Dunn who faithfully served as caregiver and cheerleader during her final days. Debbie transitioned from her earthly body to her heavenly one in peace. Her final request was to see her children and grandbabies one last time before going to her eternal home to be with her beloved Savior. If she could speak to us during this time, she would encourage us and point our hearts towards Jesus’ promise in John 14:27 - “Peace, I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” A celebration of life will be held on June 25th at 11:00am at Faith United Methodist Church located at 501 Grassdale Road, Cartersville, GA. For those who would like to honor Mrs. Brosche, please note that in lieu of flowers, she and her family have requested donations to the Faith United Methodist Church Music Ministry.
