Pamela Lynn Haas

78, of Grant Township, St. Clair County passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 6, 1943, the daughter of Floyd and Constance (Dale) Fowler.

Pamela married Robert “Bob” C. Haas in 1964.

She graduated from Ottawa Hill High School Class of 1961. Then she attended Eastern Michigan University and received her Bachelor’s in Home Economics. She worked at the JC Penney at Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights. She was also a substitute teacher in Sterling Heights for many years. Pamela enjoyed kayaking, bike riding, reading, sewing and bird watching. She loved book club and the local bird watching club.

Pam and Bob started dating during the summer of 1957 when they met at Camp Storer, a Toledo YMCA facility. Pam was the Camp Director's babysitter. Bob was working at the camp and when he saw Pam walk out of the Director's house it was Love at First Sight. Pam and Bob have supported and loved each other for the intervening 67 years.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Bob are her children, Gregory Haas, Sherry (Rob) Tasker, and Stephen Haas; grandchildren, Scott (Megan) Tasker, Neil (Jordan) Tasker, and Hannah (Tim Mantel) Tasker; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Tasker and Jack Tasker; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pamela was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Fowler and grandson, Alek Haas.

Cremation arrangements were provided by Smith Family Funeral Home – Port Huron.
