Shirley Ann Jones Obituary

On July 16, 1950 Ophelia Ware received a special gift from God, Shirley Jones.

Shirley’s formal education was in the Dallas Independent School System at Pinkston High School.

Shirley was united in Holy matrimony with Bobby Jones on July 25, 1975 in Dallas,TX. Their union was blessed with one child Denitra Taylor.

Shirley always told the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She was genuine, sweet and yet she sugar coated nothing. Everyone always knew where they stood with her. She liked you or she didn’t, it was black or white. Yet she had a smile that would light up the room.

She worked in the food industry for over 25 years. All of those years, being with Wyatt’s Cafeteria, until she retired and became a full time “Granny”

She is preceded in death by, her mother Ophelia Ware, her husband Bobby Jones and her sister Roberta Ware.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Denitra Taylor (Jason). Her two “Sugars” her granddaughters Jailynn and Jayla. She is also survived by her sisters Shelia Davis (Ricardo) of Woodstock, GA, Diane Ware and her brother Alvin Ware (Valerie) of Dallas, TX. And a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
