Isaac Valle Davis, 17, passed away unexpectedly on Monday June 14, 2021 in a tragic car accident. Isaac, a resident of Willington, CT since 2006, was born on March 31, 2004 in Glendale, AZ. Isaac was a rising senior in the carpentry program at Windham Technical High School. A passionate athlete since early childhood, he was a Varsity basketball player and had recently accepted the responsibility to coach Windham Tech’s JV team in their summer program. Beloved by teammates, coaches, classmates, and teachers alike, he worked hard, played fair, and earned his keep. Ike, who aspired to a career in carpentry, had just proudly completed a group project at school constructing a memorial bench for a fellow Windham Tech student who had passed away last fall. Ike loved music, especially rap and hip-hop, but through his parents’ influence, he was excitedly discovering the music of the Grateful Dead. Ike looked up to his brother Max from day one and they had a wonderfully close and loving relationship. He was a kind, caring, loyal and respectful friend, and had an amazing ability to bring people together. He put everyone around him at ease with his gentle, welcoming demeanor and great sense of humor. He had a soft spot for animals and loved his cat Ollie and his puppy Lucy. Isaac is survived by his mother Tammy Glaeser, his father Steven Davis, and his brother Maxwell Davis, all of whom are Willington residents. He also leaves behind his grandparents Robert and Mary Davis, and George and Deborah Glaeser, his aunts Susan Bodnar and Tracy Glaeser and their families, as well as numerous chosen and honorary aunts and uncles, many cousins, and an abundance of beloved friends. Isaac was larger than life in the most humble way imaginable, and he will truly be missed. Everyone is encouraged to attend a memorial celebration of Isaac’s life on June 19th from 3pm - 7pm at Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road, Tolland, CT 06084. Casual attire is more than appropriate, so come as you are. As a tribute to Ike, feel free to wear your favorite sneakers or shoes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Windham Tech Athletic Department, which Isaac was so incredibly proud to be a part of.
