Joan Marie Morrison Of Vernon Hills, formerly Elk Grove Village Joan Marie Morrison, 87, was born in Chicago to Raymond and Mary (nee Pedtke) Marsden. She died Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Brookdale Hawthorn Lakes in Vernon Hills. Mrs. Morrison worked as a teacher’s aide for many years at Elk Grove High School. She and her friends loved to play golf, travel and have fun. Joan loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was loved by all. Joan is survived by her children, Peggy (Keith) Funk, Nancy (late John) Link, Marianne (John) Abbott and Dennis (Denise) Morrison; grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin (Justin), Alexandra (Daniel), Margaret, Katherine, Mark, Drew, Collin (Mary) and Jacklyn: siblings, Michael (Mary) Marsden and James (Kim) Marsden; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas: her parents Raymond and Mary, her brother Raymond and sisters in law Mary and Madonna Marsden. Visitation Friday, June 18, 2021, from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
