Patricia Ann Demmink, age 76 of Belmont, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Patti was born on May 10,1945 to Peter and Betty (Sterkenberg) Wildeboer. Patti is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael Demmink, their 3 daughters Mickie (John) LeMieux, Tracie (Tom) Egeler, and Mandie Demmink. She is also survived by her 6 beloved grandchildren, Nick (Kristie) Egeler, Zack LeMieux, Tyler LeMieux, Michael Egeler, Brett LeMieux, Delaynie Demmink, and 1 future great-granddaughter, due in August; as well as two brothers Ken Wildeboer, Tom (Dawn) Wildeboer, brother-in-law Pat Demmink, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Patti was born in Pontiac, Michigan, but grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Patti attended Central High School and graduated from Hudsonville High School. Patti was a loving, generous and devoted wife to Mike. Patti was a stay-at-home mom to her three daughters and dedicated her life to raising them. Patti’s pride and joy were her 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, whom affectionately referred to her as “Nonnie”. Nonnie loved all her grandchildren to the moon and back (and everyone knew it). Nonnie attended their school functions, football games, basketball games, soccer games, hockey games, baseball games, tennis games and gymnastics classes. Nonnie also spent many a-days at Chuck-E-Cheese with them. Patti was a special friend to many, but especially, Mary Grudzinskas and Sandie Herrington. Patti had a gift for making friends. She could make friends with anyone and loved to talk and genuinely get to know people. To know her was to love her. Her family and friends are grateful and blessed to have had her in their lives. Patti was loved and will be dearly missed, but she is now free to breathe and be with loved ones who have passed before her. Visitation for Patti will be Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Pederson Funeral Home in Rockford. Immediately following the visitation, a memorial service will be held. Cremation has taken place.
