Albert L. Murphy, 78, of Burlington, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Danville Care Center. Born May 17, 1943 in Burlington, Iowa he was the son of Kenneth and Doris (Kiersey) Murphy. He married Mary Alice Russell on September 23, 1969 in Box Elder, South Dakota. Albert worked for Antennacraft and later for Klein Manufacturing until his retirement. He loved life in the country. He enjoyed raising animals, mainly chickens and hogs and tending to his lawn and gardens. He is survived by his wife Mary Murphy of Burlington; two sons, Kenny (Michelle) Murphy of Burlington and Albert D. “Duane” (Carissa) Murphy of Middletown; five grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Judy) Murphy and Dennis (Bernadine) Murphy both of Burlington; one sister Jennifer Madden of Burlington; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Michael Murphy. The visitation for Mr. Murphy will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, June 18th at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. A memorial has been established.
