<p>Gefter, Aleksandr David - Age 57 of Troy, MI died Monday, June 7, 2021 from cancer. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 9 at Machpelah Cemetery in Flint. Aleksandr was born in Riga, Latvia on Feb 21, 1964 to Zeya and David Gefter and came to Michigan in 1993 with his family. Aleksandr &quot;Sasha&quot;&nbsp;was a wonderful and loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He was an avid hockey fan, music lover, and guitar player. He most recently worked for Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union as a Business Intelligence Developer for 8 years. Sasha is survived by his wife, Yelena; his 2 children; Mariya and Alisa; his mother; Zeya; sister, Izella (Oleg) Geller and niece; Sofya of California.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his father; David Gefter and father-in-law, George Salk. Sasha also has extended family all across the globe in Latvia, Israel, Germany, and the USA.
