Sang Ho Baek

Sang Ho Baek, 20, of Salisbury, passed away suddenly from complications of a surgery on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Tidal Health Peninsula in Salisbury, Maryland. Born in Seoul, Korea, he was the son of Seong Han Baek and En Young Lee. He was attending George Mason University and was a pitcher on the baseball team. He graduated from James M. Bennett High School in 2020 where he helped earn the school a Maryland State Championship 2019. He attended the Korean Presbyterian Church where he was involved in the youth group and played drums in its worship band. Several years ago, he was on the YMCA swim team for three years and played on the Aces and Canes travel baseball teams for years. He went on a mission trip in 2018 to Nicaragua where he helped to build houses for indigenous people, and sanitized their houses, and taught Gospel to the children. He loved all types of music and playing the drums, and enjoyed swimming and surfing at the Assateague National Park. He especially loved his mother's Korean cooking. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by a sister, Sun Ho Baek of Salisbury, and leaving his maternal grandparents, his paternal grandfather, an uncle and five aunts, and twelve cousins in Korea. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation beginning at 2:00pm. Officiating will be Rev. Yeong Kwang Jeon. For your convenience, services will be live streamed with a Korean interpreter. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Holloway Funeral Home to help the family for the funeral and medical expenses.
