Ronald "Ron" Glenn Maasberg Obituary

Ronald Glenn Maasberg, 74, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at his home. Ron was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 1, 1947 to the late Victor Pearl and Irma (Polster) Maasberg. He graduated from Reitz High School and received his bachelors degree from Purdue University in 1969. Ron managed Superior Ag. in Haubstadt, Indiana for over 20 years until his retirement. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church-Darmstadt. Ron enjoyed farming, riding motorcycles and camping. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ron is survived by his sons, Scott Maasberg (Lori) of Evansville, IN and Keith Maasberg (Natalie) of Evansville, IN; sister, Janice Stone (Jim) of Evansville, IN; brother, Kenny Maasberg (Cynthia) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Dustin, Jon, Sydney, Levi and Brody; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Lee (Dick) Maasberg in 2018. A celebration of Ron's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church Darmstadt, 1401 W. Boonville-New Harmony Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor Stan Temme officiating. Burial will follow at Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at the church.
