Clementine P. Chmielewski Obituary

Clementine P. Chmielewski (Mikolajczak) Clementine, born September 17, 1931, was welcomed into the embrace of our Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 14, 2021. She joins her late husband, Leonard, who died in 1996. She is survived by her children Michael (Mary), Cindy (Tom) Dunbar, Tom (Nancie), Gary (Mary Jo), Lori (Steve) Fredrickson, Lisa (Mark) Jens, Marisue (Dan) Riek, and Jackie. She was preceded in death by her infant son Timothy, her parents, Joseph and Sophie, and her siblings, Eugene, Irvin, Esther, and her twin brother Clemens. She leaves behind 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked for many years at Kohl’s Department and Food stores and was a ‘behind the scenes' part of the family auto repair service; Chmielewski Brother’s Service. But mostly she was a mother and caregiver. She raised her own seven children, fostered many babies in need, and adopted Jackie as a baby with special needs. As a caregiver she ministered to family and friends through illness and their path to dying with dignity. She was a woman of great generosity and compassion reaching out to many in need. Above all, Clementine was a woman of great faith, a devoted Catholic and lover of Jesus and His mother Mary. In this last very difficult year of physical decline and social challenges, she found strength in her relationship with Jesus, always tightly clutching her rosary. She spent most of her last month expressing appreciation for people caring for her; “Thank you” were her final words. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 21 at HOLY APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16000 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Visitation at 2:00-3:45 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be live streamed at hanb.org Private family committal will be on Tuesday, June 22, at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Apostles Parish, the St. Hyacinth Food Pantry, or Capuchin Community Services appreciated. A special thank you to the caregivers at Clement Manor and Heartland Hospice. “Mom, Mother, Nana, Tina, Clem, Busia, Bupa” May you rest in peace!
