John Marion Chlebnik 06/24/1942- 06/10/2021 John Chlebnik of Calimesa passed away on June 10, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born on June 24, 1942 to John Bruno Chlebnik and Wanda Mary Majewski Chlebnik in Hamtranck MI and was the oldest of five children. John was a devote Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. John graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with a degree in Business Administration and that is also where he met the love of his life Nancy Sue Egleson and they married on November 26, 1966. They shared 54 Wonderful years and had two daughters. They enjoyed many years of the Yucaipa Squares, a square dance club where they would travel all over the country to competitions and conventions. He loved his garden. John served 14 years on the City Council of Calimesa as a member and Mayor from 2006-2008, then 2001 -2002. He also taught accounting at University of Redlands for a few years. John is survived by his wife Nancy, daughters Stephanie Roenicke son in law Michael, Stacie Rock, son in law Dana, granddaughters Sydney and Annabelle, Brother Joseph and sister Felicia. A funeral mass will be held June 17, 2021 Rosary at 10am, Mass at 11am at Saint Frances X Cabrini Catholic Church on California Street in Yucaipa. John was always a gentleman who enjoyed life and a laugh. He will be dearly missed. Interment is Private
