William "Bill" Hamelau, age 51, of Eldora, IA passed away on Friday morning June 11th, 2021 at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA after a lengthy battle with medical issues. A Graveside Service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, IA. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com Bill Hamelau is the son of B.J. Tordoff (Ron) of Wellsburg, IA. Brother of Jeff Hamelau (Rosea) of LeGrand, IA. Father of Brandon Hamelau of Germany and Skylar Hamelau of California. Bill Hamelau is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Born and raised in Marshalltown, IA Bill Hamelau graduated from Marshalltown High School. Bill enjoyed stock car racing, stock car drivers and the Marshalltown Speedway. During his younger years in life, Bill worked on pit crews and had the opportunity to race a car one season. Bill Hamelau is a United States Army Veteran and served in operation Desert Storm back in 1991. Bill developed a "love" for motorcycles and was an active member of the Blackhorse Cavalry Regiment, 11th ACR, motorcycle club along with other members across the United States. Throughout his life Bill had a nickname of "Hambone" which he was very proud of. Hambone will be missed by his family and many friends.
