Joseph Vincent Farina, Jr, 43, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. He was born in Livingston, NJ, resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark until moving to Kenilworth 9 years ago. Joey worked in Construction and was a carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Heavy and General Construction Laborers Local 472 of Newark as well as the Carpenters Local 254 of Edison. Loving son of Joseph Vincent Farina, Sr. and the Late Rosemarie (Arruda) Vidreiro; Beloved husband of Katarina “Katya” (Nee Matijasevic) Farina; devoted and loving father of Xavier and Gianna; dear brother of Gina Marie Vidreiro, Carlos Vidreiro and Vincent Farina; step-son of Carlos Vidreiro; also survived by many loving relatives and friends. The Funeral for Joey will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 8:45am at the Buyus Funeral Home 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave. Newark, NJ. Thence to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark, where at 10 am the Funeral Mass will be offered. The wake for Joey will be held on Tuesday, June 15th from 5-8pm.
