Linda Beaubouef Cazes

Services for Linda Beaubouef Cazes will be at St. Frances Xavier Cathedral on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., with Father James Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hixson Brothers. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Hixson Brothers Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Cazes, 76, a native of Deville and long time resident of Pineville, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on June 10, 2021. She fought a fierce battle for seven years against ovarian cancer before succumbing. As an active member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral for over fifty years, Linda taught CCD and participated in many activities in the church over the years. Linda graduated from Buckeye High School in 1962 and attended Northwestern State University. She worked for the Rapides Parish School System as a paraprofessional for over 28 years. She traveled to many schools and impacted the lives of many students. Linda loved to dance. John and Linda could be found at the Moose Lodge every weekend celebrating life. She also enjoyed reading, walking, fishing, and shopping with her daughters and granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Vertie Beaubouef, her brothers Roland Wayne and Leonard Beaubouef. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Cazes, daughters Debbie Curtis (Todd) and Theresa Hood (Keith), and son John Cazes, Jr. (Christie); brothers, Charles Beaubouef and Bobby Beaubouef; grandchildren, Corey Gauthier, Elizabeth Snow (Gentry), Cameron Curtis (Macaila), Mary Cazes, Ezra Cazes, Thomas Hood, Andrew Hood; great-grandson, Harrison Cazes. Pallbearers honored to serve are Corey Gauthier, Cameron Curtis, Thomas Hood, Andrew Hood, Gentry Snow, and Charles Moore. Ezra Cazes will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family would like to thank Dr. Dianne Bodurka of MD Anderson, Dr. Bassam-Abi Rached, and Dr. Ahsan Raza. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral 626 4th St., Alexandria, LA 71301.
