LAWRENCE H. RANDLE, SR. Obituary

Lawrence H. Randle Sr. was the first born on June 1, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas to proud and loving parents, of the late Lemon Randle and Mary E. Randle.

He attended and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School (class of 1948) in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated and furthered his studies at St. Philips Junior College.

Lawrence Sr. Accepted Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas under the leadership of Rev. S. E. Stewart.  He also joined East St. Mathews Missionary B/ C, he later joined Mt. Calvary Missionary B/C.  

He worked at Southwestern Bell/AT&T where he retired after thirty seven years of service.

He was preceded in death by his Wife of sixty-one years of marriage (Dorothy J. Taylor-Randle) and his father (Lemon), mother (Mary Esther) and his sister (Armenter Randle Cox), his brothers (Carl Lee Randle Sr.) and (Melvin Randle) also his grandsons (Troy Ussery-Callier) and (Marcus Henderson).

He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife Dorothy Randle when they were United in holy matrimony in 1950.  This union was blessed with five children:

Brenda Randle (Glen) Callier of San Antonio, TX., Lawrence Jr. (Barbara) Randle of Converse, TX. , Joseph (Diane) Randle of Los Angeles, CA. Dorothy Randle (Wayne) Henderson of San Antonio, TX. and Valarie Randle of Converse, TX.  Also another daughter Laura Dale Hollingsworth of San Antonio, TX.,

He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Tiffaney (Keith) Hunter, of Mansfield, TX., Edward (Jennifer) Randle, of Long Beach, CA., Lawrence III (Ashley) Randle of Mansfield, TX., Lauren (Joseph) Holston of Seattle, WA., Randall Henderson of Las Vegas, NV, Taylor Henderson of San Antonio, TX., and Chelsea Randle of Converse, TX., and Jamaal Hollingsworth of Bryant, TX.

Ten Great-grandchildren ( Elisha Hunter, Elijah Hunter, Tobias McIntoish, Masai Randle, Langston Randle, Chancelor Randle, Victoria Randle, Gracie Randle, Carmryn Henderson and Camilla Henderson).

In addition to his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren he is survived by his sisters Bettye Jean Mack, Mary Louise (William) Ellison, Gloria Ladson and Joyce (Kenneth) Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.

Lawrence Randle Sr. was a faithful servant and choir member and a active Deacon at Mt. Calvary Missionary B/C until his illness no longer let him serve. May his legacy of service and love continue to shine through those blessed to known him.
