APPLEBY Joseph “Joe” Dibbon – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, June 10, 2021, Joe Appleby, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, aged 90 years. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Elizabeth Appleby; beloved wife Maria (nee Pack); brothers Frederick, Bill and Tom; sisters Mary, Thelma and Della. Left to treasure their memories are his loving children Richard (Karen), Deborah Moore (Geoff) and Christopher (Sherry); precious grandchildren Matthew (Heather), Michael (Krista), Hilary (Matt), Kelsey and Joshua (Savannah); great-grandchildren Quinton, William, Susannah and Diana; “Joe-Joe’s girl” Karyn Bennett (Rob) and her mother Rowena Williams. Joe also leaves to celebrate his life three sisters-in-law Frances Hollander, Elizabeth Sheppard and Shirley Pack; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. At Joe’s request cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held from St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue on Tuesday, June 15th at 11am. Due to limited capacity the service will be by invitation only. Interment to follow at the Columbarium at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. As Joe was an avid gardener, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to The Bowring Park Foundation, St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, or a charity of one’s choice.
