In profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. Willie Wheelous, age 68 on Thursday, June 10, 2021 Condor Health and Rehab-Fayetteville. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June16, 2021, 1:00 PM at Mt. Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Moreland, Georgia. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Face masks are recommended along with social distancing due to COVID-19. Mr. Willie Roy Wheelous, the son of the late Mr. Charlie Wheelous and Mrs. Willie Lou Wheelous and the fourth child to this union, was born on June 17, 1952. He departed this life peacefully on June 10, 2021. Willie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and attended Mount Prospect Baptist Church in Moreland, Georgia He was employed with Mitchell Septic Services for many years. Mr. Wheelous loved soul food, discovering Fried Green Tomato to be one of his favorites. Willie leaves behind to cherish his memories, one son, Mr. Calvin (Cherelle) Wheelous of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Mrs. Tonya (Raymond) Hardnett of Newnan, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Elbert Wheelous of Decatur, Georgia; one sister, Mrs. Rosa Royal of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Daja, Markia, Vontavious, Cordell, Diamond, Madalya and Malachi; one great-grandchild, Amarian and host of other relatives and friends.
